technical difficulties

I must apologize to all those who are awaiting the unveiling of the finished dressers.  I hate to disappoint the masses (I have 8 followers and all!) but the computer world is against me.
Right now, things are going a little like this:  get on my laptop and go to work on blog post.  Click "insert image"  get this crazy repeating clicking noise that does not stop until I get out of the blog completely.  Try again later, click "insert image" this time I get the message "Your browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on"  well "I'm trying!"  but it doesn't seem to be working.  So then I decide to go and try it on the computer upstairs, and believe me this is a last resort, for many reasons.  1: You try and work on a computer that Aiden can reach, truly a feat. 2: the PC has problems of its own, including the monitor.
So It goes a little like this:  Actually get the computer started, we never turn it off anymore for this reason but when Aiden pushes the power button or gets a hold of the keyboard and magically gets the computer to shut down just by pushing buttons on the keyboard (I never knew all the amazing things you could do to a computer just with the keyboard!) you hope and pray that it will start up again.  Once the computer is started then you need to get the monitor to work, and this is the kicker for me.  Makes me want to pluck out my eyeballs and dip my toes in acid.  Not really, but you get the idea. What I really want to do though, is drop the monitor down the stairwell.  Apparently, the back light in our monitor is failing but what this really means is when the screen turns black, turn the monitor off and whack the back of the monitor as hard as you can a bunch of times and turn the monitor back on and hope it works.  Repeat this once, if you are really lucky or 50 times if your name is Sheryl ... I think I popped a blood vessel in my hand today.  The other reason this is really frustrating, is that when Aiden is napping, which would be prime work on the computer time, I can't because I will wake him with my incessant thwacking of the monitor.  arghh

There you have it.

Hopefully one of the computer will cooperate soon and I will share with you the dressers; all finished and happily living in my bedroom.
