Things he does that I just LOVE
- He always says "Thank you". I don't need to prompt him, he just has always said it. It was one of his very first words. I just gave him a bowl of animal crackers and he said "thank you" in the sweetest little voice. Melts my heart!
- He cleans up after himself.... sometimes. I will often see him take something of mine that he shouldn't necessarily be playing with (the other day it was the card Sheila sent us in the mail that came from Tristin (on mission in England) that was on the island). Matt hadn't read it yet, but I was busy cooking supper so I just thought to myself, I will have to make sure I find that later. But Lo and Behold, a little while later, there was the letter back on the island where I had left it, along with the post it note that was with it. The post it came back pretty crumpled, but back none-the-less. Today it was my driver's license that I had sitting on a stool, Aiden took it and was playing with it while I cleaned the bathroom. When I finished and walked past the stool, there was my driver's license and I swear, exactly in the same spot that I had left it.
- The way that he copies EVERYTHING that Matt does. Not unusual I think but very cute to watch!
- That he stacks up all his dishes and hands them to me when he is "all done" I think he got it from watching me clear the table. I love it, he is my little helper.
His big smile, its a doozy! Ask him to give you a big smile and this is what you get. The picture doesn't accurately show the enthusiasm with which he smiles, it's a whole body event!
- His fetish with blankets, when he gets up in the morning or from his nap he has to hand me every blanket in his crib before he will get out. When he reads, which he likes to do regularly, he prefers to do it sitting on or under a blanket. I also like how stinky and blankie sound the same to the inexperienced ear :)
- The way he sleeps, all curled up on his tummy. Arms tucked under and knees pulled up.
- His "I get you" that little rascal is always chasing me!
How can a little person bring so much joy, love, laughter, excitment, value, etc, etc to one person's life? Being a mother is the most rewarding thing, I wouldn't trade it for anything, especially since I have the cutest most bestest little boy around! Now if there was only a way to have him and have my stomach back the way it used to be...

He got you... So cute, Sheryl! He can talk! Holy cow... I can't wait to see him again!
I can't believe how big he is getting! He is so cute!!
Ok, that video is apparently the funniest thing ever. My 2 year old wanted to watch it about 8 times! What a little cutie! He sure looks like Matt to me but I don't know what your side of the family looks like. What a sweet kid - he sounds like a perfect firstborn!
It's funny reading these comments of yours about Aiden. I was just talking to mom about how different you are now as a wife and mother, than how you were living at home. Now you can understand the statement that there is nothing like your own children.
Dad
